Thursday through Sunday… The ridge will be to our southwest. That puts us on the more stable and drier side with flow out of the west and northwest. There’s a slight chance for a spotty storm each afternoon along The Divide.
Sunday is a transition day with a little more moisture and a little more instability so there will be a few more spotty afternoon storms. Consider yourself lucky if you get a few raindrops.
High temps over the weekend will be 5-10 degrees above average.
*** Fire danger will remain high. ***
Monday through next Thursday… The monsoon will slowly ramp up across the region! SCATTERED showers and thunderstorms are possible each afternoon and evening. “Scattered” means that everyone will not get rain every day. There will be rain lottery winners and losers. Do your rain dances!
Temps…
Thursday night lows will be in the mid 40s to low 50s.
Friday highs will be in the mid 80s to the low 90s and lows will be in the low to high 40s.

Winds…
Thursday afternoon and evening gusts will be around 25mph.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each afternoon gusts will be 15-20mph.
Monday through next Thursday, each afternoon gusts will be 15-20mph. Isolated stronger gusts are likely near showers and thunderstorms.

It’s all convective showery precip, so amounts will vary considerably. Most of this is expected Wednesday and next Thursday.
17 to 24 Jul… The subtropical high pressure will remain over the Four Corners region. This isn’t ideal, but the moisture in place will be recirculated each day into afternoon and evening storms.

It’s dry into late Sunday afternoon. Late Sunday afternoon through Wednesday evening there’s a chance for spotty storms with low precip amounts. Next Thursday afternoon through the rest of the period, there’s a better chance for scattered afternoon and evening storms.
The next post will be Saturday afternoon.
