For grins and to promote local businesses, Pagosa Weather is doing a SNOW contest.
The contest and prize… Forecast the first 1” inch of snow that falls and sticks to the ground. The person with the closest guess will win a $50 gift certificate to Ski and Bow Rack!!! In addition, Ski & Bow Rack has offered T-Shirts and Hats for the next closest guesses!
The Ski and Bow Rack, a Pagosa establishment since 1985, offers ski, snowboard, snowshoe, cross country ski, sled, and tube rentals. Plus, they offer custom boot fitting and guided ice fishing trips. You can also buy quality winter gear, apparel, helmets, goggles, and ice fishing equipment there on the east side of Pagosa Street. Now is the time to get those skis tuned!
The Rules
– Each person can make ONE guess in the comments of this post or on the Facebook Post
– The guess must include the date and time. Example: October 2nd, 0800L.
– Multiple same guesses will go to the first person with that guess.
– No more guesses after Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at 11:59pm.

Verification
The Pagosa Weather Team will determine and verify the 1st inch of snow. The verification snowboard is located about 7 miles north of Pagosa in O’Neal Park just off of North Piedra, past the two cattle guards at 8,030 feet elevation.
Let’s have fun and support our local businesses! Good Luck!
