Saturday afternoon through Monday… It’s going to stay unsettled as weak troughs with little moisture move quickly through the region. We’ll see periods of mostly cloudy skies and a spotty shower or two.

I don’t expect snow to accumulate in the Pagosa area. Lucky spots in the mountains could get up to 1” of snow.

Temps… Saturday highs will be in the low to high 40s and lows will be in the low teens to low 20s. Sunday and Monday highs will be in the high 30s to mid-40s and lows will be in the low teens to low 20s.

Winds… Saturday afternoon gusts will be 20-30mph. Sunday and Monday afternoons gusts will be around 20mph.

The 8-14 day period… The jetstream will dip a little farther south.  If we’re lucky, more moisture will move into our area, and we’ll get some precip. The models are hinting at a decent storm roughly 13-15 Feb. Keep your fingers crossed!

I’ve been a “weather geek” since I was young child. I joined the military out of high school and was lucky to get my dream job in weather. I have 20 years of military weather experience which includes forecasting the weather all over the world. Highlights were six years in Alaska and making life and death weather decisions during deployments. I love mountains, I love snow, and I love summertime thunderstorms. I spend a bunch of time playing outdoors and found my paradise in Pagosa Springs. I do Pagosa Weather as a community service. Hopefully you find us helpful!
