The Southwest Colorado Air Quality Project invites you to a virtual information session to learn about the Southwest Colorado Air Quality Project, which covers Archuleta, La Plata, and San Juan Counties. At this virtual meeting, they will share information about the project, their fixed sensors and community check-out program, and how you can access local air quality data.
This session is an opportunity for community members to learn why air quality matters locally and how they can engage with new monitoring efforts in the region.
What the session will cover:
- Why air quality matters in Southwest Colorado
- How measurements of particulate matter, ozone, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) enhance existing regulatory monitoring and low-cost sensor networks
- Where air quality monitoring will take place
- How to participate in the community sensor check-out program
- Ways community members can help shape this study
