The NWS has issued a FLOOD WATCH valid 11am Wednesday to late Wednesday night.
We will see a our deepest monsoon moisture so far with precipitable water 150-200% of average. Storms will still be scattered, but drop very heavy rainfall over small areas.
Yesterday most of the action stayed to our west. Some storms had rainfall rates of 3-6″ per hour. Parts of Archuleta County could see that later this afternoon and into the evening.
These storms will be capable of producing very heavy rain, poor visibility, gusty winds, small hail, and lightning over small areas for brief periods. They’re scattered so not everyone will get hit.
I’ll do a more thorough post later today and will do quick Facebook posts when things get interesting.
It will be a “fun” weather day!
