I measured 1″ of snow in our snow yard last night, November 20th at 7pm. The winner of the first inch of snow contest is long time Pagosa Weather follower, Peggy Andrews! Congratulations Peggy! You have won a $50 gift certificate to Terry’s Ace Hardware.
The verification snowboard is seven miles northwest of Pagosa. May this be the first inch of many, many inches this winter.

Enter to win by forecasting the date and time of the first inch of snow that falls and sticks to the ground. The person with the closest guess wins a $50 gift certificate from Terry’s Ace Hardware! The Rules
– Each person can make ONE guess in the entry form on the Pagosa Weather website.
– The guess must include the date and time. Format: 09-01-25 at 3:00pm MT. Use pull down menu to select time. A time every three hours is available.
– Multiple winning guesses will go to the first entry with that guess.
– Winner must arrange to pick up prize from the merchant.
– No more guesses after Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 11:59pm MT.

Verification
The Pagosa Weather Team will determine and verify the 1st inch of snow. The verification snowboard is seven miles northwest of Pagosa. A winner will be declared when this snowboard has an inch of snow.
