April showers bring… that is not necessarily the truth for our area as April is our 3rd driest month. It is still transition season with a high of 70 one day & a low of 5 the next day; whiplash weather!

We’ll have unsettled weather at the beginning of the month, some mid month & a little at the end of the month. But it won’t be enough to get us up to average. The GFS & Euro are indicating above average but they were too high last month so verification is poor. CPC is indicating less than average & it verified well last month. So we’ll have less precipitation than average with a warmer than average month.

I’ve been a “weather geek” since I was young child. I joined the military out of high school and was lucky to get my dream job in weather. I have 20 years of military weather experience which includes forecasting the weather all over the world. Highlights were six years in Alaska and making life and death weather decisions during deployments. I love mountains, I love snow, and I love summertime thunderstorms. I spend a bunch of time playing outdoors and found my paradise in Pagosa Springs. I do Pagosa Weather as a community service. Hopefully you find us helpful!

  1. Is it possible to be able to set up a recurring donation via internet. I try to contribute monthly via credit card through square but getting old and forgetful I would like to set up a recurring donation, set it and forget it. Any comment on this?

    Thanks
