Arleen Prochazka will give a presentation at this month’s San Juan Outdoor Club meeting.
Arleen will review what happened the last few winters, what has happened so far this winter (and what has NOT happened). She will review the best snow synoptic patterns for the Southern San Juan mountains area as well as global oscillation patterns that impact our area.
“Will the return of the El Niño mean an increase in snow for the Pagosa area? We’ve started out this winter with a below average snowpack, but will our snow dances pay off? Come listen to Arleen’s forecast and learn just enough about the Madden-Julian Oscillation to amaze your friends at your upcoming holiday parties!”
Shawn will be there to answer all your questions!
Note: The meeting is OPEN to the PUBLIC. It’s a great opportunity to learn about to learn about our active and fun San Juan Outdoor Club!
