Tommy & his girlfriend had the best time running in the fresh snow this week!
Big Thank You Waves to Individual Donors & Sponsors plus News on Presentations, CoCoRaHS & Contest Updates
First, remember to adjust your clocks tonight! Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 2:00 A.M. We “fall back” one hour!
Special waves of thanks to Robert and Mimi of the Levine Family Charitable Foundation who made a generous donation in October. We are humbled by how generous our followers are and amazed at how we connect with them.
What your donation goes towards…
Your donations help us take care of the costs of the web page, the web site manager, weather subscriptions and other business expenses. Most importantly your donations ensure that we will be able to provide this free service for everyone for years to come. Remember, each donor will receive a Pagosa Weather Snow Depth Measurer (yardstick).
How to Donate
Desktop: Click on gold “Support Pagosa Weather” in upper right-hand column. You can choose to donate by PayPal (Send), or you can select Square to donate with a credit card.
Smart Phone: Select upper right hand menu icon (=). Scroll down to “About Us”, down menu to “Support Pagosa Weather” or find it in the grey area at bottom of page. You can choose to donate by PayPal (Send), or you can select Square to donate with a credit card.
Donate by Check: Make the check payable to: Pagosa Weather. Mail to: Pagosa Weather, 135-F Country Center Dr. #142, Pagosa Springs CO 81147
You can pick up your Pagosa Weather Snow Depth Measurer (yardstick) at San Juan Mercantile.
San Juan Mercantile is a fun store with a wide variety of items. Pagosa Weather Meet & Greet: November 7th at Terry’s ACE!
Come out and meet the Pagosa Weather Team on November 7th at Terry’s Ace Hardware from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. If you make a donation of $10 or more that day, you receive a Pagosa Weather Snow Depth Measurer (yardstick). Winter has arrived and the snow will soon fly again! While you’re there, it is a perfect time to pick up your hardware needs to winterize your home at Terry’s Ace.
If you have made a donation to Pagosa Weather and you have not picked up your ruler or yardstick, we’ll have them with us at Terry’s Ace on the November 7th from 2:00 to 5:30pm. See list below.
Winter Outlook Presentations
- November: Pagosa Weather will be speaking with the First Graders at the Lutheran School about weather. This will be a fun one: cloud frames and making weather in a bottle!
- December 7th: Wolf Creek Ski Patrol, 7:00am. We’ll cover winter outlook, snow density, and other topics that impact ski patrol folks.
Send email to pagosaweather.org if your organization would like to hear our winter outlook presentation.
Pagosa Weather is the Archuleta County “CoCoRaHS Coordinator” and “Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador”.
We had a great time at the October CoCoRaHS snow measuring training seminar. If you are a CoCoRaHS observer and were unable to attend, Mark recorded the training seminar. Send me a note and we”ll send you a link to the You tube video.
Huge thanks to the Community United Methodist Church for providing a venue for our seminar.
Archuleta County is well represented but we still have big data gaps. We really need a volunteer in Arboles, Dulce, west on Highway 160, Pagosa Junction, and the upper Blanco. Sign up by filling out this web page: https://www.cocorahs.org/application.aspx. Or send us a note and we can send you more detailed information.
The red circles are areas we could use a CoCoRaHS observer. Let us know if you can give us 5 to 10 minutes every morning to measure precip and snow. CoCoRaHS provides all the training you need.
Special Thanks to all the businesses that have stepped forward to sponsor our weather contests. They are a lot of fun!

Huge thanks to Grace and her team for their support of Pagosa Weather. This contest is closed to new guesses.
